Jonalyn Viray performs at her first solo concert at the Music Museum this March. This is a casual snap backstage at an episode of Sunday All Stars, the GMA noontime show.

I shot Franceska Farr for a portfolio piece with a Miss Saigon theme, right around the time that auditions were on for the re-staging of the hit broadway musical worldwide in the beginning of 2013. By November, she played the lead role of Sandra D in the 9Works Theatrical's production of Grease: The Musical, with stellar reviews, confidence and resolve that assures us that Franceska's star will be shining for a very long time.

She is an old soul revealed through her choice of songs and romantic sensibilities. Rita de Guzman's acting resume is replete with dramatic roles on television and stage, but it is when she sings that you witness her true power.

The greatest photographers and filmmakers have it. That immutable skill of choosing the right subject, discerning the right moment to click the shutter, the decisiveness to go ahead and not look back. Is it an image that disturbs, stirs, and elicits emotion and thought? Is it an idea that changes attitudes, dispels doubt, one that makes things more meaningful. These are the photographs I wish to create.
